Birthday Weekend in Bend, OR

We spent the weekend in Bend, a great weekend trip East of Portland. I wanted to share my itinerary of what we did and where we spent time!

Friday
+11:00am Leave Portland
+12:30 eat lunch in Sandy + stop at Trillium Lake- There is a pod of food carts in the main stretch of town.
+3:30 Arrive in Bend + check in - Highly recommend A Stone’s Throw Bungalow for vacation rentals

Make dinner at the house, we made…
+peach and burrata salad appetizer
+ veggie side
+ pepper crust steaks
+ wine
+ chocolate cake with beeswax candles and edible flowers

Saturday
+ Coffee at Megaphone coffee- This chic and photogenic space is a coffee shop until 11:00am and then changes over to a beer hall.
+Head up to Sparks Lake, a local spot that reflects the nearby mountains.
+ Lunch at Fix and Repeat - They have healthy smoothies / bowls in a minimalist space.
+Float the river in the afternoon- The Deschutes river that runs through town is a leisure float and perfect to spend an afternoon outside.
+ Dinner out at Boxwood Kitchen- Order a few sides to share and an entree for yourself!
+ Drinks and dancing downtown Bend

Sunday
+Spoken Moto coffee shop- One of my favorite places in Bend. Great coffee and vintage motorbikes galore!
+McMenamins Old St. Francis soaking pool- Old St. Francis has multiple restaurants, including a café with breakfast and bakery items, so you won’t go hungry.
+Drive home and stop at Smith rock if you have time

I hope sharing our itinerary and where we ate in Bend, Oregon makes planning your weekend getaway there a breeze!
